Academic Scholarships
Academic Scholarships for girls are open to all students commencing in Years 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11. The scholarships offer part remission of tuition of each recipient’s remaining years of secondary schooling.
The Marlene Carter Old Girls’ Association Scholarship is offered to students commencing in Year 7 who are the daughters or granddaughters of financial Life Members of the Old Girls’ Association.
The Ethel Beaton Old Girls’ Association Scholarship is open to students commencing in Year 11 who are the daughters or granddaughters of financial Life Members of the Old Girls’ Association.
Part-funded Scholarships
St Mary’s offers several Part-funded scholarships for girls with academic potential who could not attend St Mary’s without financial assistance. Our Part-funded Scholarship offerings include the Spirit of St Mary’s Scholarship, in memory of 2021 Head Girl Sally Hicks, and the Annual Giving Scholarship, as well as various donor-funded scholarships.
Boarding Scholarships
Boarding Scholarships are open to all students commencing in Years 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11. The scholarships offer part remission of boarding fees for the duration of a student’s schooling as a boarder at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥.
Boarding Scholarship recipients meet annually with the Head of Boarding to set goals so that they reach their potential both inside and outside the classroom.
Lady Treatt Performing Arts Scholarship
The Lady Treatt Performing Arts Scholarship is open to students commencing in Year 9, 10 or 11 with a talent for drama and/or dance.
The recipient is expected to play a full and active role in St Mary’s cocurricular performing arts program.
Music Scholarships and Bursaries
Music Scholarships are offered to students commencing in Years 7 or 8. They provide a reduction in general tuition fees and free instrumental tuition.
Several Music Bursaries are also available and provide free instrumental tuition for up to two years. A musical instrument will also be provided while studying at St Marys.
Scholarship and Bursary recipients are expected to demonstrate a commitment to the academic subject of music for the duration of their schooling at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥, participate in the appropriate ensemble for their chosen instrument and perform at the School’s Creative and Performing Arts Festival.
MADALAH Scholarships
In conjunction with MADALAH Limited, scholarships are available for students of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
